چکیده
Spin properties of organic molecules have attracted great interest for their potential applications in spintronic devices and quantum computing. Fe-tetraphenyl porphyrin (FeTPP) is particular its robust magnetic on metallic substrates. FeTPP prepared vacuum via on-surface synthesis. Molecular structure spin-related transport are characterized by low-temperature scanning tunneling microscope spectroscopy at 0.5 K. Density functional theory calculations performed to understand molecular adsorption spin distribution Au(111). The distorted upon the substrate. excitations observed Fe atom high pyrrole groups differential conductance spectra. calculated density indicates that electron mainly distributed atom. atomic transmission calculation electrons substrate mediated through atom, when tip above group.

Spin-polarized transport through single-molecule magnet Mn6 complexes.
The coherent transport properties of a device, constructed by sandwiching a Mn6 single-molecule magnet between two gold surfaces, are studied theoretically by using the non-equilibrium Green's function approach combined with density functional theory. Two spin states of such Mn6 complexes are explored, namely the ferromagnetically coupled configuration of the six Mn(III) cations, leading to the...

Single molecule electronic devices in which individual molecules are utilized as active electronic components constitute a promising approach for the ultimate miniaturization and integration of electronic devices in nanotechnology through the bottom-up strategy. Thus, the ability to understand, control, and exploit charge transport at the level of single molecules has become a long-standing des...
متن کاملElectronic transport in single-molecule magnets on metallic surfaces.
An electron transport is studied in the system that consists of a scanning tunneling microscopy, single-molecule magnet metal. Because of quantum tunneling of magnetization in a single-molecule magnet, linear response conductance exhibits stepwise behavior with increasing longitudinal field, and each step is maximized at a certain value of field sweeping speed. The conductance at each step osci...

The process of transferring electrons from one metal electrode to another via an intervening molecule differs from electrochemically or optically-induced electron transfer in important ways. The simplest process of ballistic electron transport with no charge localization on the molecule (tunneling) should be easy to understand quantitatively, yet experimental reports and theoretical calculation...
